Ropinsky is a self-taught photographer and got his first camera, a Nikon EM, when he was 13. He developped 35mm negatives and slides in his own lab for quite some time.
Digital cameras now are more convenient to use, and some of the works involve several hundreds or thousands of images.
Optical chip noise is something Ropinsky appreciates, but generally any kind of error is welcome.
